First, let me say that I am a multi-racial 20-something female with waist-length hair. I have spent the majority of my life trying to fight the natural texture of my hair. It has been an uphill battle and I have tried every process(relaxer:(, japanese straightening,etc) and flat iron (CHI,T3,InStyler,Hot Tools,FHI). In the past I've had moderate success, but this flat iron is the greatest one I've ever used. The digital temp control makes it foolproof. The swivel cord is extra long. The iron is super lightweight, but the plates are large enough to let me get through my superthick, waist-length curls in half the time other irons take. The temp heats up within seconds and cools down almost as fast. They sent a heat resistant pouch/mat to protect your table surfaces (a great accesory for flat iron users). Not only did this iron reduce my styling time, but it left my hair shiny and straight after passing over each section only two times. I used the iron once on my hair last week... Read more

This is the best flat iron I ever owned, and I have used them all... Chi, T3, Babyliss Nano Titanium, you name it. Not only was it fabulous for my own coarse, frizzy hair, but also, since I am a hairstylist I have been using it for all the keratin treatments on my clients. Was great but only lasted 3 months before it just died!! Does not heat up at all! Granted, it did get alot of use in 3 months, but for $75 I expect it to last longer that that! Now I am out alot of money and apparently the manufacturer's warranty does not apply for purchases on Amazon. WTF? I want a new flat iron that works or my money back! I absolutely LOVE this hair straightener!! My hair stylist uses this iron and I've been putting off on buying it for a long time. Now, I don't know why I ever waited! My parents actually bought it for my 24th birthday. I used it for the first time on my own last night and my hair turned out just as perfect as if I had just walked out of the salon! I have [just past] shoulder length hair, so when I used the straightener I curled it in a bit and it created so much volume. It wasn't stick straight against my head at all! It doesn't create fly-a-ways either. I will recommend this straightener to every girl [and some guys] I know!!
**CAREFUL** it heats up EXTREMELY fast! Which is nothing to complain about...but the digital read tells you how hot its getting and how fast.
