It really is worth the money. My hair stays straight all day long, no need for touch ups. It heats up in under a minute and easily glides through my hair. So I got suckered in to sitting down at one of the mall kiosks and getting my hair done with one of these flat irons. Since the mall was pretty dead the lady ended up curling all of my hair with this iron. It really did make my hair very smooth and I was super impressed with the flat iron in general, and this is coming from someone who worships her own $250 flat iron already (so I know good flat iron quality, much better than the over-hyped Chis. Anyway, I thought the curls would fall out like an hour later, but to my surprise my curls are still very much intact and it's the next day (without any hairspray and I've been working all day, not just like sitting down). At the mall, they'll tell you "you're getting a special deal only for you" for $100, so it's cheaper to buy it on Amazon. But I definitely recommend the flat iron, it doesn't seem to be a scam and it really works well.
