Cortex Int'l/Bellezza/Farenheight Flat Iron, December 14, 2011 This review is from: Cortex Duo Mini And Large Flat Iron Set, Zebra Print (Misc.) I love this flat iron! I listed 3 different titles bc they are manufactured by the same company. I am a hair stylist and I actually own all three differently labeled irons.The first I bought (Belleza) cost me $75(a discount from the $100 sale bc I am a stylist) at the mall. I felt it was well worth it bc two years later, I saw the Cortex Int'l, Farenheight, and PYT flat irons costing $150-200 at the mall and they look just like my original Belezza. You can actually find these flat irons NOW at Marshalls and TJ Maxx for under $40. Anyway, that is where I bought my Cortex Duo (comes with a mini-flat iron), Farenheight and second Belleza. All 4 flat irons together cost me $100. Each brings out a great shine on the hair, and makes it silky soft. I am able to straight kinky-curly type of African American hair and use it on fine Caucasian hair. Mines reach up to 450 degrees! The plates are soo smooth, and the ceramic plates are awesome. I got this at a Marshalls near me for a lot less than the salon list price and it's fantastic. Gets hot quick, stays hot, and the plates are 100%ceramic, so it glides without snagging. I get hair straight in one pass the way my old revlon iron used to do in 6 or 7. Definitely worth the money.

I received my Cortex Flat Iron Duo Set Black on Thursday of this week as promised and I must say that it ain't nothing but the truth yall!! It usually takes 2 hours to flat iron my medium length hair (I am African American with a good grade of hair but hasn't had a relaxer since June and it looks like I just got one with this flat iron) and it only took 30 minutes to do it this time. My hair is soft and shiney and overall nice. I also have the Cortex Platinum Flat Iron, Black which I purchased from Amazon and it works just as good too since it is the same brand.
