I use it on my bangs and the sides of my hair since I have
more of a bob cut so it just gives me more of a smooth look. But you could use it in any area where you need more of a straight look. I use it for touch
ups also during the day if my hair frizzes up a bit. It has a nice temperature control also. I do not use the really high heat on my hair and it still
does the job. Some people might need more of the heat turned up to get the result they need.

It's thin (1/2")with long plates. It's nice to be able to adjust the temperature. Alot of flat irons just heat up to a high temperature. The one thing I don't like is I have to squeeze semi-hard to get the plates to close. It may be just this one. Overall, I really like it.

I have purchased straightening irons at walmart that were of better quality and for a fraction of the price. Company refused to allow a return even though product was defective (lock/unlock feature was did not work and all writing rubbed right off of product). The iron also does not get hot enough. I recommend spending the extra money for REAL salon quality product... This one definately is NOT!!!!!!!!!!
